The MS 311 from Stihl is a 4.2 hp chainsaw with a cutting length of 37 cm. An integrated decompression valve within the engine enables a lower required tractive force when starting and thus significantly simplifies the start. The MS 311 impresses with a long-term filter system of the supply air and thus extends the service life of the saw, as well as with a manually adjustable oil pump quantity via a tensioning screw. The world-renowned Stihl 2-mix engine with four-channel technology is installed in the saw and ensures strong performance, plenty of pulling power and saves up to 20% fuel. Likewise, the Stihl compensator, a control system in the carburetor, which is also installed, is an important factor for longer constant engine performance, exhaust gas quality as well as fuel consumption, despite increasing contamination of the machine. The Stihl Ematic system reduces oil consumption by 50% by optimally utilizing and distributing the oil supply to the chain.
