La Makita DTW 281 es una llave de impacto a batería de iones de litio de 18 V muy manejable y corta con 3 etapas. El motor sin escobillas garantiza una mayor resistencia, una vida útil más larga y una carcasa más compacta. El destornillador dispone de un indicador de capacidad de la batería y un LED luminoso con función de luminosidad. También está equipado con una amplia protección contra el polvo o salpicaduras de agua y un soporte cuadrado externo de 1/2". El set incluye también una batería de 1,5 Ah y un MAKPAC 2 con el correspondiente sistema insertable.
