La DeWalt DCG 406 es una amoladora angular sin escobillas que funciona con batería de 18 voltios y tiene un diámetro de 125 mm. El innovador motor sin escobillas puede lograr un mayor rendimiento con un mayor tiempo de funcionamiento por carga de batería, dimensiones más compactas y ahorro de peso, así como una vida útil generalmente más larga de la máquina. Los devanados recubiertos con resina epoxi protegen además el motor de partículas de polvo abrasivas, mientras que el sistema de ventilación optimizado en el interior del molinillo garantiza una refrigeración perfectamente adaptada de la máquina y de la electrónica, lo que también contribuye a una vida útil más larga. El sistema Perform & Protect de DeWalt utiliza el freno electrónico para detener de manera confiable el disco en cuestión de segundos (<2 segundos), ayudando así a proteger al usuario.
